back from perth. went there for Aust Med Students association developing world conference. great to meet so many students from other med schools, from diff backgds and diff years. They really inspired me, with so many in 4th/5th years. And the speakers, from backgs like red cross or others with some experience working with tsunami victims. there was even one lecturere wo cried in his presentation while talking about the patients in india. talked to other med studets about their med programmes and winging on how little they emphasize on anat. I sort of feel coming out of it that i know what i wana do now....

1. orthopaedic surgeon, although i hate anat, but useful in war-torn countries
2. regular GP. I love their work. i no longer look down on gps, after the gp attachments
3. after doing intern, work with relief work organisation. heck care abt money, just wanna hlep pple out there.

then i realised the world's problems are much more impt than what i previously wanted to do- sports med. so maybe i shld head for another direction......

but having said all this, i know in time to come, after tryig diff areas of med i will change my mind again. so its been from sports med- colorectal surgeon- gastroenterologist- gp- orthopaedic surgeon- gp.

with perth, going there alone, felt alone most of the time. yes, made some frens but it was just me and myself there. I guess i need more pple-skills.
